SRCD Board Director - Applications Open

At its regular October 2026 meeting, the current Board of Directors of the Sloughhouse Resource Conservation District will review applications for appointment to the Board and select two individuals to nominate to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors in accordance with Public Resources Code section 9314 for two scheduled vacancies. Those appointed by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors will serve a 4 year term on the Sloughhouse Resource Conservation District Board of Directors.

If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors of the Sloughhouse Resource Conservation District, please complete this application and submit it to SRCD on, or before September 30, 2026 at 5:00pm. The Application may be submitted in person to SRCD Staff, mailed USPS, or emailed to the address below. The applicants are invited to appear personally at the District’s October 2026 meeting.

Pursuant to Section 9352 of the California Public Resource Code, to qualify to serve as a SRCD Director, candidates must:

  1. Be a registered voter in California.
  2. Reside within the district
    • A registered voter who is not a district resident can become a director if a resident landowner appoints them as their agent. A resident landowner must submit a statement assigning the director candidate as their agent for the purpose of serving on the SRCD board.
  3. Meet one of the below requirements:
    • Own land in the district.
    •  Have served as an associate director for two years.
