Have you ever been frustrated by a government agency policy that doesn’t consider the realities of what actually happens on our rangelands?  That’s largely because many agencies don’t have people with an understanding of working rangelands.  Range Camp is one-week youth camp that teaches high-school youth a basic understanding of rangeland systems through experiential learning.  The program is organized by UCCE Livestock & Natural Resources Advisors and Cal Poly Range professors and introduces students to the many facets of rangeland management and inspires many to pursue careers in range science or a related field.
